Hi there! I’m Kevin Soviero, a DevOps engineer passionate about building robust, scalable infrastructure and empowering development teams with efficient automation. Over the past decade, I’ve worked across startups and established tech companies, wearing many hats, from sole DevOps owner to senior engineer on larger teams.

Career Highlights

Led DevOps at Stoplight, designing GCP-based infrastructure and enabling engineers with seamless, hands-off CI/CD workflows.

Built fault-tolerant, scalable backends and infrastructure at Medici, ReachFi, and OneLogin, achieving milestones like SOC 2 compliance and automated deployments.

Developed internal tools, from custom Flask apps to CLI utilities—to streamline DevOps tasks and reduce friction for development teams.

Philosophy

I believe DevOps is more than a set of tools, it’s a culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement. My goal is to bridge the gap between developers and operations so that teams can ship faster, safer, and with confidence.

Based in Austin, TX

When I’m not managing production clusters, I’m usually experimenting in the kitchen, I love cooking and constantly push myself to master new techniques and cuisines. I’m also deeply into electronics design, whether it’s prototyping with microcontrollers or building custom hardware for personal projects.

At home, I run a fully self-hosted homelab powered by Kubernetes, where I test out new DevOps tools, run internal services, and explore infrastructure ideas in a sandboxed environment. It’s a playground that keeps me sharp and lets me tinker freely.
